Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has denied reports that host of Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana show, Randy Abbey, sponsored his latest investigations against Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has [ads1]accused Randy Abbey of sponsoring an exposé by Anas.

He claimed Randy Abbey is the master brain behind the recent predicament of the embattled former FIFA Council member just to disgrace him.

He said, “Randy Abbey is behind all these investigations, he just wanted to disgrace Kwesi Nyantakyi and the NPP as well…”

Speaking on Accra-based Joy FM, Anas Aremeyaw Anas said though Randy Abbey is a good friend, he never sought ideas from him about how he conducts his investigations.

He said “Randy is my friend and we will forever be friends. Randy is a football official and I knew that but never bothered to involve him because I’m a genuine person and needed views from other people as well. He never knew till the video finally dropped”.

He added: “We hoped and anticipated all these criticisms and so there is no way I am bothered. Randy never sponsored me to destroy Nyantakyi. Why would he sponsor me, to do what?” he quizzed.
