The Member of Parliament (MP) for Effutu Constituency and Minority Leader in Parliament, Osaahene Alexander Afenyo Markins, made a generous donation to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) on Tuesday.
The items donated were ten laptops and ten desktop computers to the radio, television, and digital departments of the corporation.

According to Hon. Afenyo-Markins, the donation intends to strengthen the operational capacity of GBC.
Also, to enhance content production and support the corporation’s critical mandate of informing and educating the Ghanaian public in the digital age.
Speaking after the kind gesture, Afenyo Markins, Thank you, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, said he was honored to support the National Broadcaster in its important mandate of informing and educating our people.
“It is my hope that this modest contribution to the newsroom and digital departments will enhance your work and strengthen public service broadcasting in Ghana,” he stated.
The items were formally received by Madam Naa Akushika Acquaye, Director of the Television Department, thanked the lawmaker for the support.
She added that the items will help improve their digital content production while staying on top of their work.
