Professor Ransford Gyampo, Acting CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority, has denied interfering with the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) probe into Ken Ofori-Atta.

He responded after the OSP claimed he attempted contact during a search at Strategic Mobilisation Limited.
Gyampo clarified that he did not contact the OSP’s office directly. “Kissi, I didn’t call your office, I called you. You said you couldn’t talk and would call back. We never spoke,” he said in a message on Monday.
He admitted sending text messages to Kissi Agyebeng but said they were not meant to obstruct the investigation. “I only cautioned you not to cause financial loss to the state while conducting the probe, which I fully support,” he added.
On June 21, Gyampo appeared on TV3’s KeyPoints and said he hoped the Special Prosecutor was acting out of patriotism, not personal animosity. The OSP dismissed his comments as “unfounded” and warned that public interference could damage anti-corruption efforts.
Gyampo insisted he acted in good faith. “Given what I’ve heard from across the political divide, I only hoped your intentions were patriotic, not personal,” he stated.
He plans to release WhatsApp messages exchanged with Agyebeng to show he raised only legitimate concerns. “I’ll share our chats to prove I simply warned against potential financial loss,” Gyampo said.
The OSP is investigating multiple cases tied to Ofori-Atta, including a contract awarded to Strategic Mobilisation Limited. The case remains under close public and political scrutiny.
