Ghanaian Afro-fusion singer Gyakie, born Jackline Acheampong, has been named in Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2025, unveiled on June 5.
The list celebrates young Africans under 30 who are driving change, innovation, and growth in their industries. Gyakie was recognized for her impact on the music scene through her soulful sound, cross-border collaborations, and role as a cultural ambassador for Ghana.
“This acknowledgment by Forbes Africa is a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve poured into my craft. I hope it inspires other young Africans to pursue their passions relentlessly,” she said.
Gyakie also shared her excitement about releasing her debut album, After Midnight, in August 2025. The album promises a mix of Afro-fusion, R&B, hip-hop, and highlife, offering a personal reflection of her growth and artistry.
Earlier this year, she spoke at the Forbes Woman Africa Leading Women Summit, where she discussed her musical evolution and genre-blending style.
The 2025 Forbes cohort includes changemakers from technology, finance, fashion, and the arts, all contributing to Africa’s transformation.
Gyakie’s recognition solidifies her place not just in music but also as a beacon of hope for aspiring talents across the continent.
