From the 14th – 30th April 2018 and in accordance with the party reorganization calendar, the great NDC shall begin the second leg of its program, the election of branch executives across the country.

The branches which are coteminous with the polling stations of the electoral commission are to elect their executives to manage their polling stations for the conduct of presidential and parliamentary [ads1]elections at all times.
Amongst many other functions, they are to mobilize, organize, evangelize the message of the party and manage all political activities including elections at the basic level of the party.
It is in this regard that we must endeavor to elect the best of our best to take charge of these critical base of our party.
Comrades, the BRANCH ELECTIONS is so critical and crucial for the constituencies that we cannot afford to let the process flaw.
It is crucial because it will serve as the basis of our preparedness for our constituency elections and other national elections including parliamentary and presidential elections in 2020.
Going into this elections, we must endeavor the following :
1. All members interested in branch position must be qualified as per the dictates of the constitution of our party. ( Voter at the branch, paid up dues, possession of a valid membership card, of sound mind etc)
2. All aspirants for the branch elections must have their names on their respective branch registers as endorsed by the constituency and regional executives.
3. Nomination forms must be AVAILABLE to all interested aspirants (TRANSPARENCY).
4. The date, time and venue for the branch elections must be COMMUNICATED CLEARLY to all members and INTERESTED PERSONS.
5. The elections must be conducted under the supervision of Constituency Executive Committee in a free and fair manner.
Comrades, we need to carry each other along. We should endeavor not to drive the process along our parochial highways lest we drive the constituencies again into the abyss.
Our personal interest must not over-ride the collective interest of the party, which is to build a strong branch and constituency executives to wrestle the seat from the NPP.
I wish all aspirants a good campaign and the best in the elections.
