Asante Kotoko SC were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Vision FC in their Ghana Premier League match-week 24 encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

The Reds created some early moments, with goalkeeper Mohammed Camara reacting sharply in several situations to keep his side in the game.

Albert Amoah came closest in the first half, but his clever dink over goalkeeper Ametefe came off the crossbar before the Porcupine Warriors were denied a penalty after appeals were waved away by the referee.

Both teams returned from the break with improved intensity, pushing for the opener but lacking the decisive touch in the final third.

Vision FC later went down to ten men after midfielder Alidu Mohammed was shown a red card for pulling down Patrick Asiedu, who was on his way to a counterbreak.

Despite the numerical advantage, Kotoko could not find the winner and remained in fourth place with 39 points, leaving their title hopes hanging in the balance as the season entered its final stretch.

Vision FC, now on 31 points, sits ninth on the table, still only four places above the relegation zone, leaving them with work to do to avoid being dragged into the survival battle.
