Some gov’t appointees, party exectuives have neglected us – Chair of NPP defectees cries

The National Defectees Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Abdul Karim Seidu popular known in northern region as ‘Chesua’ has betterly lamented over total neglect by some government appointee’s and executives of the party.

He said the milky promises made to them have not been fulfilled, with government appointee’s and executives rejecting their calls.

According to him he together with the youth who defected from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the New patriotic party(NPP) in 2012 and 2016 have become laughing objects in their communities.

Mr Seidu Chesua said the northern regional executives including Chairman Bugri Naabu, the youth organizer, Alhaji Rashid, the regional secretary, Mr Salifu Sulley and the Northern regional minister have surrounded themselves with families and friends, leaving the core NPP youths to their faith.

He said the president is a fine gentleman who knows him very, but the executives and the appointee’s have build a barrier between him and the president.

He said the president during his three days visit to the northern region directed Chairman Bugri Naabu to led him to the presidency, but chairman Bugri Naabu has since not initiated move to led him to the president.

He lamented that it is heartbreaking for one to defect and work day and night for a political party in opposition and they show no appreciation after winning an elections.

According to him he was politically transferred at his work place in tamale to the Volta region because of the defection, and still date his is unemployed.

Mr Seidu Chesua revealed that the National defectees youth wing which played a crucial roll in the victory of the ruling party has scheduled the end of January to stage a nation wide protest to craft a clear picture to the president how some of his appointee’s and executives are making the NPP government unattractive and disgusting.
