Pastor Edward Anderson, Founder of the Healing School of the Bible, Tema, has welcomed the government’s directive requiring prophets to formally submit prophecies of national significance for review before public disclosure.
The directive, issued by Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations Mr Elvis Afriyie Ankrah after the recent helicopter crash that claimed eight lives, applies to prophecies concerning political leaders, governance, national security, and public stability.
Pastor Anderson said the measure would promote responsibility, prevent panic, and curb exploitation by false prophets. “God reveals to redeem, so such revelations should be met with prayer and handled with decency,” he noted, urging Christians to study scripture to discern genuine messages.
He called on the government to engage religious leaders in forums to discuss the importance of sanitising the system and uniting in prayer for the nation and its leaders.
