GMA petitioned to remove its president for kicking against Organised Labour strike

Dr Vishnu Nene Limon Abayateye, a member of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has petition the Association for the impeachment of its President, Dr Frank Serebour.

This follows Dr Serebour’s declaration on behalf of the Association that they will not embark on the pending indefinite strike due October 10, as directed by Organised Labour.

In a statement confirming the stance of the Association Dr Serebour single signed it, meanwhile previous ones has been co-signed.

Dr Abayateye stated that Dr Serebour did not consult the National Executive Council or the General Assembly. Dr Abayateye further argued that the action of their president has brought shame to them as they appear inconsistent in the eyes of the public, given previous stance on ‘galamsey’.

He stated emphatically in their upcoming annual general assembly meeting in Ho, scheduled from November 3rd to 10th, 2024, he will move a motion for the removal of Dr Frank Serebour.
