Ghanaian facebook users took to Facebook on Saturday to pour out their frustrations and insults on a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP, Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, for telling HE John Dramani Mahama to shut up.

Mr. Gabby wrote on his facebook timeline on Saturday, asking the former president to ‘shush’ and adding that, the Nana Addo administration has been too kind to the former president for the havoc he caused the economy.

“Certainly, the reckless way NDC ran down the economy for 8yrs (lest I forget), called for creative and intelligent measures to satisfy three things: to manage the debt crisis; keep the state machinery running and deliver on your own promises. The Akuffo Addo government found a way in 2017, and will continue to find ways that will keep faith with the people of Ghana. Be in no doubt. And please, can somebody out there tell John Mahama to shush! It is not his fault though. The NPP has been kind to him on the havoc he caused the economy”. he wrote.

Gabby’s comments are understood to be in relation to the former president’s comments on the proposed VAT increment. His comments however, seems to have angered a section of Ghanaian facebook users, who took to the platform to bash him.
