The Ghana Education Service GES wishes to inform all Heads of Basic Schools that the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for School Candidates, 2023 will be written from 7th to 11th August, 2023.

Contained in a letter from the Ghana Education Service (GES) headquarters dated March 23, 2023 and signed by Mr Prince Charles Agyemang – Duah, Ag. Director, Schools and Instructions Divisions, Regional Directors of Education are requested to communicate this information to Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education to inform all Heads of Basic Schools to take note and prepare the candidates for the examination accordingly.
Meanwhile, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) held briefing sessions for all stakeholders who will be involved in the registration of candidates from Tuesday, 21st to Friday, 24th March, 2023. The registration portal for the registration of eligible candidates will be open from Monday, 27th March to Friday, 28th April, 2023.

The2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is set to examine the first batch of the Standard Based Curriculum students.
