In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple noted that the exercise was inspired by biblical teachings, particularly Matthew 25:35, which encourages compassion and service to the needy. He described the outreach as a demonstration of faith through practical acts of love and care for society’s most vulnerable groups.
According to him, the Tanko Foundation, in collaboration with the Duanamenefa Foundation, reached approximately 2,400 vulnerable individuals across nine selected health and social care facilities within the Volta Region.
The facilities that benefited from the outreach include St. Anthony’s Hospital in Dzodze, Aflao General Hospital, Keta General Hospital, Abor Weme Hospital, Akatsi Hospital, Dagbi Hospital, Weta Hospital, In My Father’s House Orphanage at Abor, and Father’s Heart Orphanage at Tegbi.
Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple disclosed that each beneficiary received carefully prepared packages containing assorted staple foods and drinks. He stressed that assistance to the sick and vulnerable must be delivered in a thoughtful, well-coordinated, and dignified manner.
He further expressed appreciation to partners and supporters who contributed to the success of the initiative, emphasizing that such collaborations remain crucial in addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.
The Council of State Member reaffirmed his commitment to humanitarian service, noting that the initiative reflects a broader vision of compassion, unity, and community support. He also expressed optimism about expanding the outreach in the future to impact more lives across the region.
