Gabriel Tanko Marks First Anniversary on Council of State

The Volta Region representative on the Council of State, Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple Adovoe, has marked his first anniversary in office, expressing gratitude to stakeholders across the region while reaffirming his commitment to advancing development and effective governance.

In a Facebook post reflecting on his one-year milestone, Mr. Adovoe noted that his election and subsequent swearing-in into the Council of State was made possible through the confidence reposed in him by Presiding Officers from all eighteen districts in the Volta Region, alongside nominated Assembly Members.

He described the mandate as a sacred responsibility that continues to guide his service to both the Volta Region and Ghana at large.

According to him, his first year in office has been characterised by extensive engagement with communities across the region through collaboration with Assembly Members, Municipal, Metropolitan and District Chief Executives, Members of Parliament, and Traditional Authorities. He emphasised that these engagements have strengthened the connection between national governance structures and grassroots realities.

Mr. Adovoe expressed appreciation to the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, for his leadership and cooperation towards regional development. He also commended the Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Mawutor Agbavitor, for his support and engagement, as well as government officials whose efforts continue to drive progress across various sectors.

He further extended gratitude to the Chairman of the Council of State, Doe Adjaho, for his leadership and guidance, while acknowledging the support and collaboration of fellow Council members.

Mr. Adovoe also praised the leadership of John Dramani Mahama, stating that the President’s governance continues to provide direction, strengthen democratic institutions, and inspire public officials to discharge their duties with diligence and commitment.
