The Volta Region’s representative on the Council of State, Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, has held an end-of-year Praise and Thanksgiving Service to express gratitude to God for His mercy, grace, and guidance throughout the year.
The service, held at his office in Accra, brought together staff and associates to reflect on the year’s journey and to acknowledge what he described as God’s abundant blessings and protection over his work, the Volta Region, and the nation at large.
Quoting Psalm 65:11 (NIV), H.E. Kwamigah-Atokple said, “You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance,” stressing the importance of thanksgiving, humility, and spiritual reflection as the year draws to a close.
The thanksgiving service was led by the Duamenefa Foundation, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Evangelist Emmanuel Evortepe, popularly known as Ketaman.
Speaking during the service, H.E. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple who is also the Chief Executive Officer of SESI Edem Company and President of the Tanko Foundation, a non-governmental organisation supporting the needy in the Volta Region and beyond highlighted the critical role of divine guidance in leadership, business, and public service.
He noted that human effort alone is insufficient without God’s presence, adding that the service was also an opportunity to seek divine direction and strength for the year ahead.
The event featured prayers, praise, and exhortations, providing a moment of reflection and thanksgiving for the year’s achievements and challenges, while reinforcing the values of faith, service, and commitment to humanity.
