Member of the Council of State representing the Volta Region, Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple, has commended Members of Parliament from the Volta Region for their commitment to accountable leadership and development-focused governance following an engagement caucus retreat.
In a statement shared on his official verified Facebook page, H.E Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple, described the engagement as both humbling and deeply affirming, noting that he was honoured by the invitation to interact with legislators entrusted with representing the people of the region at the national level.

He disclosed that discussions at the retreat were frank, reflective, and anchored in a shared resolve to advance the development aspirations of the Volta Region. According to him, the openness and mutual respect that characterized the engagement underscored the importance of unity of purpose, dialogue, and collective responsibility in achieving meaningful and sustainable development.
Mr. Atokple further praised the MPs for demonstrating a clear understanding of their legislative mandate and the expectations of their constituents, adding that their willingness to interrogate leadership beyond partisan politics particularly in areas of development delivery, accountability, and public responsiveness was both refreshing and reassuring.
The Council of State member emphasized that leadership remains a continuous learning process rooted in humility and service, stressing that such engagements are critical to strengthening governance and deepening public trust.
He expressed his sincere appreciation to the Volta MPs Caucus for the warm reception and reiterated his confidence that sustained collaboration among leaders of the region will translate into tangible progress for the Volta Region and contribute significantly to the overall development of the Republic of Ghana.
