The funeral rites of former President, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings has been postponed.

The funeral arrangement had initially been scheduled for Wednesday, December 23, 2020, but a communique from the office of the former president revealed a change in the schedule.
“The office of the former President Jerry John Rawlings informs the general public that his funeral will no longer take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2020″.
A statement signed by Mr. Kobina Andoh Amoakwa, the Head of Communications Directorate at the former President Office, said a new date will be communicated to the public in due course.
“A new date will be communicated to the public in due course”.
The inconvenience to all who had made prior arrangements for the funeral ceremony is deeply regretted”, the statement read.
Former President Jerry John Rawlings died on Thursday, November 12, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after a short illness.
