The Gblorkofe and Mafi Adidome in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region woke up to the news of the arrest of four suspects in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old, Nelson Anyana.

On the 17th December 2024, Madam Comfort Hates, a trader and a resident of Donkorkrom in the Eastern Region, reported to the Mafi Adidome Police Command that on the 4th December 2024, she received information that her son, now late Nelson Anyana, left his house at Mafi Adidome to meet Augustina Fiawoyife and never returned.
According to the report, the Mafi Adidome Police investigation led to the arrest of Augustina Fiawoyife. Speaking to the locally based MaceeTV and Macee FM, the investigators disclosed that Augustina Fiawoyife is the girlfriend of Wisdom Hedidor, a herbalist. They both cohabitate at Mafi Avakpadome, a suburb of Mafi Adidome.
According to the Police, during their relationship, Wisdom Hedidor noticed that the deceased frequently called his girlfriend, Augustina Fiawoyife, on her phone.
Mr. Hedidor became suspicious and warned her to stop receiving calls from the deceased. Around the same period, Gblor Noah the Fetish Priest requested his friend Courage Bedzo, a kente weaver who is also a resident at Mafi Avakpadome, to get him a dead body for ritual purposes in exchange for ransom.
Encouraged by the promise of the monetary rewards of GHc7,000, Courage Bedzo passed on the information to Wisdom Hedidor, who bought into the idea and both agreed to kill Nelson Anyana, who had been calling his girlfriend, hence made a plan to execute the act.
According to the investigators, Wisdom Hedidor convinced his girlfriend, Augustina Fiawoyife, to lure the deceased to meet her at a secluded location so they could kill him and offer his body to Gblor Noah for money.
That on the 4th December 2024, at about 7:30 pm, Augustina Fiawoyife asked the deceased Nelson Anyana to meet her at an isolated place near the DCE Bungalow, a suburb of Mafi Adidome, while Wisdom Hedidor and Courage Bedzo hid in a nearby bush.
A few minutes later, the deceased arrived at the said location and began a conversation with Augustina Fiawoyife. In the course, Wisdom and Courage emerged from the bush and grabbed the deceased by the neck firmly and strangled him till he died.
Investigators revealed that after killing the deceased, Courage Bedzo called Gblor Noah to inform him of their success in getting a dead body for him and showed him where they were with the deceased body.
Gblor Noah, the fetish Priest, arrived in the company of Gblor John, a Lotto writer, and conveyed the dead body of Nelson Anyana to their house at Gblorkope in the Central Tongu District in the Volta Region, where they used part of the body to perform rituals in their shrine and later buried the remaining part in a nearby bush.
Upon their arrest, the Police led the suspects to exhume the parts of the deceased in the shrine and the bush where they burried the remains.
