In a message shared on social media, Mr. Duhoe thanked the public for what he described as a genuine show of encouragement and goodwill.
He also expressed gratitude to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for the confidence reposed in him.
Mr. Duhoe said he did not take the opportunity lightly and pledged to contribute to the advancement of the President’s economic diplomacy agenda and broader vision for Ghana on the global stage.
He called on colleagues in the media to collaborate in promoting Ghana’s diplomatic and development interests, noting that the collective effort of media practitioners would be critical in projecting the country’s reset agenda internationally.
Touching on his activism against illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey, Mr. Duhoe assured the public that his advocacy would continue unabated.
He stated that both the President and the sector minister had demonstrated commitment to addressing the menace and pledged to support efforts aimed at ensuring accountability and sustainable environmental protection.
Mr. Duhoe further clarified that his personal social media page remained his private platform and did not represent the official position of the Ministry.
He concluded by thanking Ghanaians for their support and encouragement.
