The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Secretary General, Fiifi Kwetey, has hinted that President John Mahama will soon undertake a reshuffle exercise in his government.
According to him, President Mahama’s first year in office has been excellent, but he reiterated that undertaking a reshuffle would make his administration better.
He reiterated that his sources indicate that the President would reshuffle his administration.
“It’s always important that despite the fact that things have gone very well in the first year, the President, who is a leader, would always want to see where things can still be done better. So a reshuffle normally is done within that context, where you want to see in this particular sector, even though things are okay. I can still do better if I move somebody else to that place or in this place,” he said.
“Maybe this one is not too effective in this sector. Let’s move him to that sector where maybe he will be a little bit okay. So I think a reshuffle will be a possibility. And from what I pick up on the grounds, yes, we definitely are going to be having a reshuffle,” he added.
When he was quizzed to give the exact period of the reshuffle process, the former finance minister said, “I wouldn’t be able to say how soon, but definitely there would be a reshuffle,” he concluded.
