Deputy Attorney General, Dr. Justice Srem Sai

Deputy Attorney General Dr. Justice Srem Sai has disclosed that some former officials from the Akufo-Addo administration are now providing evidence against their ex-colleagues in ongoing corruption investigations.

Speaking on PM Express on JoyNews, Dr. Srem Sai said both low-level and senior former appointees are stepping forward with critical information, many of whom held influential positions in the past.

“Some of them were part of the previous government, and they are coming forward with information,” he said. When asked if they were New Patriotic Party (NPP) members, he responded, “Some are neutrals. But most are government officials.”

According to Dr. Srem Sai, the volume of complaints and evidence being submitted has grown significantly. The original 33 cases listed in the Audit of Risks Associated with Looting (ORAL) report has now ballooned to over 50.

“There is whistleblowing going on, and people are bringing in evidence and complaints. Every day, someone walks into the Attorney General’s office, some with lawyers, some alone, with documents,” he revealed.

He credited the ORAL report as a key catalyst behind this wave of disclosures and emphasized that the demand for accountability is coming from within the corridors of power.

“This is not just outsiders. Some of the complaints and evidence are coming from people who were there,” he stated.

Dr. Srem Sai praised the ongoing cooperation and described the rising tide of whistleblowing as a sign that Ghanaians are serious about justice and transparency.
