Berekum Chelsea’s safest pair, Eric Ofori Antwi, has lauded the performance of his team after their goalless draw with Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League match day 23 on Sunday, citing that a draw away from home is a fair result for the side.
The Biribies traveled back to Berekum with a point, a result that Phobians’ title chances are high hopes after leaders Medeama SC kept their spot with 45 points despite playing out a 0-0 stalemate with Samartex while Hearts trail behind with 40 points in third spot.
For Chelsea, the outcome moves them to 15th on the league log, four points above the relegation spot, and also extends their unbeaten run in their last three games, securing two wins and a draw.
Speaking after the game, Ofori Antwi admitted the toughness of Hearts Oak; however, he stressed the team deserved the point.
“The game was very tough, because playing against Accra Hearts of Oak, a compact team, it was not easy. But I think drawing from away is better for us. So we will go and work on our next home game,” he said.
Berekum Chelsea will be at the Golden City Park to welcome relegation-threatened Young Apostles on matchday 24 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, March 1.
