Ghana’s gas supply has received a major boost following a successful infrastructure upgrade by ENI, increasing output from 245 million to 270 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd).
The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, in a statement on July 14, 2025, hailed the development as a key milestone in ensuring a stable and sustainable energy supply. The increased capacity is expected to strengthen the power sector and drive economic growth.
“This enhancement marks a significant step toward energy reliability and national development,” the statement read.
The Ministry expressed gratitude to ENI and all stakeholders involved in executing the upgrade and thanked the public for their patience during the project’s implementation.
Spokesperson Richmond Rockson reiterated the government’s commitment to improving power delivery and building a resilient energy sector capable of meeting national demands.
