Eid-UL-Fitr: Wesley Girls “fasting issue”, let’s promote tolerance for a peaceful Ghana – Zeinab appeals

A member of the National Communication Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Zeinab Alhassan has appealed to Ghanaians to embrace tolerance to promote a peaceful Ghana.

In  her Eid UL Fitr’s message, she said “On this holy day, I wish to use this opportunity to call for calm and continuous love amongst my fellow Muslims, Christians and other faiths on the back of recent misunderstandings and or miscommunications with respect to the Wesley Girls “fasting issue”.

“We must promote nothing but tolerance for a peaceful Ghana.” – she added.

For her, “Today marks yet another important day of the Muslim faith calendar- Eid UL Fitr. I see today not only as a day to draw more closer to Allah for his mercies and favours but also a day to show more love to my fellow Muslims and people from other faiths and religions. It is a day to remember that we are all created by one Supreme being and on one earth.”

The communicator also extends her heart to the people of Isreal and Palatine in the wake of the ongoing conflicts in the region.

“My heart goes out to the people of Palestine and Israel and I pray the Supreme maker will alas make peace reign in these two countries.” – She said
