The Member of Parliament for the Ketu North Constituency, Eric Edem Agbana, has reinforced his commitment to quality healthcare delivery by donating five hospital beds and settling the medical bills of several ‘stranded’ patients at the Dzodze St. Anthony’s Hospital.
The intervention, which took place yesterday, brought relief to patients who had been medically discharged but were unable to leave the hospital due to unpaid bills. Agbana’s gesture enabled the affected patients to return home and reunite with their families, particularly during the Christmas festivities.
As part of the visit, the MP also celebrated Christmas with patients and nurses, sharing goodwill and interacting warmly with health workers. He commended nurses and medical staff for their dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices in delivering care, especially during the festive season.
Presenting the hospital beds, Hon. Agbana emphasized the importance of adequate medical infrastructure in improving healthcare outcomes. He noted that access to quality healthcare remains central to national development and reaffirmed his resolve to continuously support health institutions in the Ketu North Constituency.
Management and staff of St. Anthony’s Hospital expressed profound appreciation for the donation and the settlement of patients’ bills, describing the intervention as timely and impactful. They noted that the hospital beds would significantly enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
