ECG announces power outage in parts of the country on Sunday July 13

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will carry out planned maintenance on Sunday, July 13, 2025, affecting power supply in parts of the Western, Tema, and Greater Accra regions.

In a notice issued on Friday, July 11, ECG explained the maintenance is part of efforts to upgrade infrastructure and improve the reliability of its power distribution network.

Affected areas and times

Western Region

9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Vienna City, Mankessim White House, Accra Station, and surrounding areas.

9:00 am – 5:00 pm: Daboase, Sekyere Krobo, Sekyere Nsuta, Aboaboso, Bosomase, and nearby communities.

Tema (9:00 am – 4:00 pm):
Mobole, Ataa Mensah, Boishe, Afienya, Philip Kope, Greenhouse Enclave, and surrounding areas.

Greater Accra Region (9:00 am – 5:00 pm):
Kings Cottage, KICC, Taxis Tires, Western World, Guinness Depot, Rebecca Fashion Manufacturing Ltd, Frosty Bite Company, Perfect Pharmaceutical, Shivan Ghana Ltd, Mawums, Akuaba Refinery, Eskay Pharmaceutical, Royal Crown Ltd, West Coast Beverages, Equator Foods, Intelligent Card Products, Healthy Life, DPS, Daysack Company Ltd, Afro Tropic, and surrounding areas.

ECG apologised for the inconvenience and urged the public to bear with them during the outage. Customers are encouraged to take precautions and follow ECG’s official platforms or visit www.ecg.com.gh for further updates.
