During the visit, Madam Gomashie toured the facility to assess its condition, available medical equipment and the quality of service delivery.

She interacted with doctors, nurses and hospital administrators to obtain first-hand information on operational challenges confronting the unit and discussed measures to further improve healthcare services.

Madam Gomashie reiterated her commitment to child healthcare, noting that the establishment of the unit was informed by the need to provide timely and specialised emergency care for children in the area.

She said the facility had since become an important centre for emergency paediatric care, serving families across the municipality.

The MP reaffirmed her dedication to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the constituency to ensure that residents, particularly children, had access to quality and efficient medical services.

She stressed that investing in child health was critical to building a healthy and productive society.
