Former CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has reacted to claims by the current CEO of DVLA that only one telephone was available at the headquarters when he came to office.
According to Julius Neequatey Kotey, the unavailability of ‘multiple’ telephones makes it a challenge to communicate timely with stakeholders and customers of the Authority.
“We had only one telephone for calls at the DVLA head office when I got into office,” Mr. Kotey said, adding that “We are also going to have a call centre that will attend to customer concerns and complaints”. He was speaking about his immediate plans for the DVLA, on TV3 last Sunday.
However, for Mr. Nkansah, who was an appointee of the erstwhile Akufo Addo government, the DVLA needs no multiple telephones to function. He also challenges the CEO to introduce innovative ways to make his outfit an outstanding one.
“And so what ? Is DVLA a Comm Centre to have multiple telephones?
“The previous Management introduced a lot of Digital innovation to be able to issue licenses in few hours. Let’s see what you are also bringing onboard,” Mr. Nkansah wrote on social media.
