Dr Yaw Osei Adwutum - former Minister for Education

Mr Alfred Ofori Annye, the Operations Director of Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, a presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the aspirant has built a solid support base  that will translate into votes in the NPP presidential primaries on January 31, 2025.

“After our engagements with the party in all the 276 constituencies we are highly optimistic that the inspiring support base of Dr Adutwum will make him lead the NPP to electoral victory in 2028”, he stated.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, Mr Annye indicated now that Dr Adutwum had filed and submitted his nominations to contest the NPP presidential primary, his campaign team had re-strategized, reaching out to the youth, the aged and the entire NPP to strengthen his support base.

He emphasised that the Ghanaian electorate in general had endorse Dr Adutwum as the “next President of Ghana”, basically for his integrity, hard work, track record, humility and exceptional human relationship.

Mr Annye, also the former Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Produce Buying Company Limited (PBC) expressed the hope that NPP delegates would also consider that and vote for him when they go to polls, saying “with Dr Adutwum the fortunes of the NPP to win the 2028 polls remains brighter”.

He said as a former first vice chairman of the NPP in California in the United States, a cocoa farmer and a teacher, Dr Adutwum had also experienced life challenges, very sensitive to the plight of the ordinary citizenry.

“Dr Adutwum abhors corruption and has built a very challenging reputation in Ghana’s politics”, he stated, and urged the NPP delegates to make informed decision and vote for “Dr Adutwum who can make the NPP more formidable and attractive to enhance our electoral victory in 2028”.
