The Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (MahamaCare), Obuobia Darko-Opoku, has shared a strong message on her official Facebook page urging Ghanaians to refrain from judging others purely on hearsay, stressing that such actions can rob individuals of meaningful relationships and unexpected support.
In a Facebook post sighted by Awake News, Ms Darko-Opoku explained that people often carry warnings about others “like a shield,” preparing their minds to expect the worst, even before forming personal experiences.
She noted that although some warnings may be rooted in genuine experiences, they remain personal truths and should not automatically define how others perceive or relate to the same individual.
According to her, life has a way of humbling assumptions, as people previously portrayed negatively may turn out to be supportive, kind, and even a blessing where hostility was expected.
Ms Darko-Opoku further highlighted that human beings are complex and shaped by different journeys, wounds, environments, and seasons of life, making it unfair to define anyone by a single story or relationship.
She therefore encouraged the public to walk through life with openness, observe people for themselves, and allow others to reveal their true character without the burden of someone else’s narrative.
The Deputy Director concluded by wishing her followers a blessed week, a message that has since generated significant engagement and reflection on social media.
