A final-year Software Engineering student at OpenLabs, Edmund Owusu, has developed a payment application which allows the transfer of money from the bank account to the mobile money account.

According to Owusu, the application is called ‘’Virtualpay”.

A post on NIIT Ghana facebook page to laud him said; “Today we celebrate Edmund, a confident and industrious student”.

“Edmund has overcome the challenges of living with cerebral palsy and is making a lot of progress in his academics, it added.

Cerebral Palsy is a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury or malformation that occurs while the child’s brain is under development. It primarily affects body movement and muscle coordination.
