Delay reflects on struggles, urges youth to stay hopeful

Ghanaian media personality and entrepreneur Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, is urging young Ghanaians to stay resilient and hopeful in tough times.

In a heartfelt Facebook post on May 30, Delay opened up about her early struggles, including homelessness and hunger, as she reflected on her rise from poverty to prominence.

“It feels like just yesterday when I couldn’t afford a decent meal,” she wrote. “Today, the small food business I started, Delay Foods, now has 10 product variants! And we’re just getting started!”

She recalled starting Delay Foods in 2004, a venture that has grown into a household brand despite her difficult beginnings.

“I had nowhere to live and didn’t know what to do with my life,” Delay shared. “I’m sitting here right now, wondering what I did right for God to be this merciful to me.”

Ending on a powerful note, she encouraged her followers with a message of faith and perseverance:
“Do not give up on yourself. Help is coming!”

Her story continues to inspire many young people across Ghana, proving that with determination, faith, and consistency, even the toughest beginnings can lead to extraordinary success.
