Staff of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) have been informed of a delay in the payment of their salaries due to a technical issue involving the agency’s bankers.
In an internal memo dated March 4, 2026, and issued by the Corporate Affairs Directorate, management explained that the delay was caused by a technical challenge from the agency’s banking partners.
The memo, addressed to all staff, assured employees that the issue is currently being addressed and is expected to be resolved as soon as possible.
“Management wishes to inform all staff that the delay in the payment of salaries is due to a technical issue from the Agency’s bankers,” the statement said.
It added that once the problem is rectified, the salaries will immediately reflect in the accounts of staff.
Management further assured employees that all outstanding salary payments will be fully settled by next week.
“We have been assured that the challenge is being addressed and will be resolved as soon as possible. Once the issue is rectified, salaries will reflect immediately in staff accounts,” the memo indicated.
The agency also apologised to staff for the inconvenience caused by the delay and appealed for patience and understanding while efforts are made to resolve the matter.
The memo was signed by Abdul-Wahab Jawando, Public Relations Officer of the Youth Employment Agency.
