According to Brogya Genfi, the intervention fulfils a commitment made by the late Defence Minister, Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, during his first staff general meeting, where he pledged to address transportation challenges confronting staff of the ministry.

Speaking during the presentation, the Deputy Minister indicated that the provision of the vehicles forms part of broader measures aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and improving staff performance.

He noted that the vehicles are expected to ease mobility constraints, enhance efficiency in administrative and operational duties, and support staff in effectively executing their mandate.

The Deputy Minister further stated that fulfilling the late minister’s promise demonstrates government’s commitment to continuity in leadership and service delivery, while also honouring his legacy and contributions to the ministry.

The vehicles were officially handed over to the Chief Director of the Ministry, who received them on behalf of the staff.

Officials believe the addition of the new fleet will significantly support the ministry’s operations and improve coordination in the discharge of its responsibilities.
