The De Mayor Foundation, founded by Mr. David Selasie Anthony, on Friday, December 27, 2025, brought Christmas cheer to widows and other less privileged persons in Adeiso in the Eastern Region through a large-scale humanitarian outreach.
The programme, spearheaded by the management team of the Foundation, saw over 700 residents receiving 5kg bags of rice each. In addition, about 500 chickens, 1,000 branded exercise books, assorted drinks, cooking oil, and other food items were distributed to beneficiaries to support their basic needs during the festive season.
As part of efforts to promote holistic well-being, the Foundation also organised a free health screening exercise. A team of nurses and doctors from the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) conducted medical checks for beneficiaries, offering essential health services and professional advice to help improve their overall well-being.
Beneficiaries of the initiative included widows, other vulnerable members of the Adeiso community, and schoolchildren, many of whom expressed appreciation for the timely intervention and support.
Speaking after the event, the De Mayor Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and improving community welfare. The Foundation also announced plans to extend the Christmas outreach programme to other regions in the coming days.
The Foundation’s management expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chiefs and people of Adeiso for their warm reception and support, and for granting the Foundation the opportunity to serve the community.
Through initiatives such as this, the De Mayor Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the health, well-being, and livelihoods of communities nationwide.
