The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Anloga District, Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, has led a team of education officials to visit injured pupils and families affected by the tragic bee attack at Anloga E.P. Basic School, which resulted in the death of two pupils.

The visit, which took place on Friday the 19th of December,2025, followed the unfortunate incident that occurred earlier in the week. Hon. Kpedor was joined by the District Director of Education, the Volta Regional Director of Education, and other officials from the Ghana Education Service (GES).
According to a statement published on the official Facebook page of the DCE, the delegation first visited pupils who are currently receiving medical attention, before proceeding to commiserate with families who lost their children in the incident.

The DCE and the education officials expressed their condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of the government’s support during what they described as a “difficult and painful period.” They further pledged continued engagement with affected families and schools as recovery efforts continue.
The statement noted that investigations are underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding the bee attack. It added that findings from the investigations will inform preventive measures aimed at ensuring the safety of pupils and staff within school environments across the district.
The incident has generated widespread concern among parents and residents in the Anloga area, renewing calls for strengthened safety and emergency response measures in basic schools.
Education authorities reaffirmed their commitment to protecting learners and preventing a recurrence of similar incidents, stressing that the safety of pupils remains a top priority.
