Cynthia Kwabi emerged victorious at the Sheroes 2 “Love Edition” Singles event on Saturday, delivering a composed and dominant performance throughout the knockout stages to lift the title.
Kwabi navigated a competitive field in the group stage to secure her place in the main draw. In the round of 16, she defeated Millicent Mettle 3–0. In the quarterfinals, she overcame Celia Baah Danso 4-1 before defeating Hilda Agbottah 4-2 in a tightly contested semifinal.
The final against Joanita Borteye was anticipated to be a fierce contest, but Kwabi asserted control early. Maintaining sharp placement and steady tempo, she secured a convincing 4–1 victory to seal the championship.
Notably, the tournament also marked the end of Augustina Baidoo’s quest for a third consecutive Sheroes title, as the two-time champion settled for a joint third-place finish, bringing her impressive run in the series to a halt.
Joanita Borteye finished as runner-up after an impressive run to the final, while Hilda Agbottah and Augustina Baidoo claimed joint third-place honors.
Kwabi’s triumph marks a significant statement in the Sheroes Series, adding a new champion to the growing legacy of the tournament and setting the tone for the upcoming “Show Time” edition of the Sheroes Series on the 21st of February 2026 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
