Ghanaian highlife legend Obuoba J.A. Adofo has expressed his desire to collaborate with award-winning dancehall artist Shatta Wale on a project.

According to him, he has always yearned to work with Wale and hopes it happens soon.

He stressed that he, being the shy type, is the only hindrance preventing him from approaching Shatta Wale.

Speaking in an interview on Max FM’s Max Drive Show, J.A. Adofo said he will be glad if a good Samaritan speaks to Wale on his behalf to see his wish come true.

“I would love to see that happen with Shatta Wale. I would love to collaborate with Shatta Wale on a project. I’m the shy type, and I feel scared to approach him. I would be more than elated to have someone speak to him on my behalf to make it a reality,” he stated.

He is famous for his meaningful lyrics and unique voice, and he led the City Boys Band and earned the nickname “Black Chinese” because of his distinctive appearance.

Throughout his career, Adofo released many hit songs, including “Yaa Boatemaa,” “Ankwanobi,” “Owu Mpaso,” “Akutiabo,” and “Nya Asem Hwe.”

He has over 30 albums to his credit and has performed live shows that were often sold out.

In 2019, he received the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to highlife music.
