Chelsea pulled off a stunning 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain to win the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, becoming the first English side to lift the trophy twice.

Cole Palmer was the standout performer on Sunday night, bagging two goals in quick succession. He opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and struck again just eight minutes later, both with precise left-footed finishes that left PSG’s defense exposed.

Before halftime, Palmer turned provider, setting up Joao Pedro for a classy chip over Gianluigi Donnarumma to seal Chelsea’s third. Despite second-half efforts from Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha, Chelsea’s keeper Robert Sanchez held firm to deny PSG a comeback.

The match turned tense late on when PSG’s Joao Neves was sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair, but the damage had already been done.

The win is a landmark achievement for head coach Enzo Maresca, who becomes only the second Italian manager to win the Club World Cup, after Carlo Ancelotti. Chelsea’s dominance also earned them a tournament-best prize purse of $115 million.

The game drew a record attendance of 81,118, including notable figures like FIFA President Gianni Infantino and former U.S. President Donald Trump.
