Chelsea crowned King of Agent fees as Premier League spending soars

Chelsea have topped the Premier League in agent fee spending once again, shelling out a staggering £60.4 million to intermediaries between February 2024 and February 2025.

This places them above all other clubs for the second consecutive year, despite a drop from the £75 million they spent the previous year.

The west London club’s heavy agent payments accompanied over £200 million in transfer activity, which saw the arrivals of Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, among others.

Manchester City followed closely with £52.1 million paid to agents, while Manchester United ranked third with £33 million.

Other clubs exceeding the £20 million mark included Aston Villa (£25.1m), Newcastle United (£24.4m), Arsenal (£22.8m), and Liverpool (£20.8m).

Villa’s figures spiked largely due to an active winter window that brought in Marcus Rashford, Marco Asensio, Donyell Malen, and Andres Garcia.

At the other end of the spectrum, newly-promoted Ipswich Town spent the least, just £6.3 million, while Southampton, Everton, and Leicester City all kept their agent fees under £10 million.
