The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Central Tongu, Addison Dodzi Mornyuie, together with the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Gabby Hottordze has performed a sod-cutting ceremony for three key educational infrastructure projects across the district.

Mr. Mornyuie described the event as another important milestone in the district’s efforts to strengthen education and improve learning conditions for schoolchildren. The projects include the construction of a six-unit classroom block with auxiliary facilities at Mafi Atitekpo, the completion of a six-unit classroom block at Klukpo, and the completion of a three-unit classroom block at Tsetsekpo.

According to the DCE, all three projects are expected to be completed within an average period of six months. When finished, the facilities are expected to significantly enhance teaching and learning, reduce overcrowding, and create a more conducive environment for both pupils and teachers.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the government and the Central Tongu District Assembly to prioritising education by investing in school infrastructure and expanding access to quality education across the district.

Mr. Mornyuie emphasized that the projects form part of broader efforts to ensure better opportunities for children in Central Tongu, adding that education remains a key pillar of sustainable development at the local and national levels.
