Central Region Must Strive to Become NDC Stronghold – Asiedu Nketiah

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has called on party supporters in the Central Region to intensify their efforts to make the region a formidable stronghold for the party, similar to the Volta Region.

Addressing party faithful during the party’s Thank You Tour, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah reminded members of the Central Region’s significant place in the history of the NDC, stressing that the area has played a pivotal role in the party’s political journey.

According to him, many of the party’s landmark events were held in Cape Coast, underscoring the region’s longstanding connection to the NDC’s growth and leadership development, particularly in relation to presidential politics.

“Central Region must work harder to be an NDC stronghold like Volta Region. Most of our major historical events as a party were held in Cape Coast, so you have big roles to play in the NDC,” he stated.

Mr. Asiedu Nketiah urged party executives, grassroots organisers, and supporters in the region to strengthen mobilisation, unity, and outreach to consolidate the party’s presence and improve its electoral performance.

The Thank You Tour forms part of the National Chairman’s nationwide engagement to express appreciation to supporters and reorganise its base following the party’ victory in 2024, while also strategising toward future electoral success.
