Carragher blames Kudus’ dip for West Ham’s struggling season

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says Mohammed Kudus’ drop in form partly caused West Ham United’s poor 2024/25 season.

Kudus impressed in his debut season, scoring 14 goals and making seven assists. This season, he has only four goals and three assists with one game left.

On Sky Sports, Carragher called Kudus a quality player but noted his decline hurt West Ham’s league position. “Last season, he was fantastic. This season, he hasn’t been the same,” Carragher said.

He also hinted Kudus could leave West Ham this summer. The club needs money, and top European teams still want the midfielder. “A move might suit both clubs,” Carragher added.

West Ham will end the season against relegated Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Sunday.
