Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson has stressed that President Mahama cannot achieve his reset agenda without full support from his ministers, cabinet, and broader society.

Speaking on TV3’s Hot Issues on July 13, 2025, Cardinal Turkson explained that while the president may initiate the vision, implementing it requires unity and cooperation.

“The President can talk about the reset, but he can’t realize it alone,” he said. “It must be a shared effort involving ministers, cabinet, pastors, and citizens.”

He warned that disunity within government undermines progress and called for solidarity, virtuous leadership, and a commitment to national goals.

The Cardinal also criticized post-Nkrumah governments for lacking the vision and drive to develop Ghana, pointing out that Ghana once matched Singapore and India in progress but has since fallen behind due to lost inspiration and leadership focus.
