Breaking News: Heavy Military presence at collation centers across Ashanti region

The National Democratic Congress, NDC has alleged there is currently overwhelming military presence across all collation centers in the Ashanti region.

Brogya Genfi, the Deputy Director for Special Duties of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) bemoan the development while calling on the American embassy to take note of it.

He said “Dear U.S. Embassy Ghana
I want to inform you of the sudden overwhelming presence of armed military personnel at collation centres of constituencies won by the NDC in Ashanti Region. Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission Ghana has refused to start collation even though all pinksheets have arrived at the collation centres.
Our democracy is threatened!”

However, the NDC is currently gaining grounds in the region as the party has won more seats in the region.
