Breaking News: Court declares Assin North parliamentary election null and void

The opposition National Democratic Congress – NDC has lost one seat as the Cape Coast High Court had declared the 2020 Parliamentary elections null and void.

The Assin North NDC MP, James Gyakye Quayson was sued by members of the New Patriotic Party over allegations that he has dual citizenship.

The Court presided over by Justice Kwasi Boakye, ordered for fresh elections to be conducted in the constituency.

The court has also restrained the Assin North MP from holding himself as the MP for the Assin North Constituency.
