Bongo Ideals petitions President Mahama over his abduction, torture in 2024

Social media critic and commentator, Bongo Ideas born Albert Nathaniel Nii Okai Tetteh Hyde has petitioned the Office of the President, Office of the Attorney General, Ministry of National Security, Ministry of Communications and Digitization over his abduction and torture by some unknow persons in March 2024.

“On March 14, 2024, my fundamental human rights were severely violated when unidentified individuals, posing as police and national security operatives, forcibly entered my home, assaulted me, and illegally abducted me.” – Bondgo Ideas said in the petition published in his Facebook account sighted by Awake News

Recounting the ordeal, the blogger, “They kicked and slapped me, restrained me on the ground, and handcuffed me after breaking down my door. I was then blindfolded, taken to an unknown location, and subjected to prolonged physical torture, psychological abuse, and inhumane treatment.”

According to him, while in captivity, he endured “Confinement in a basement, handcuffed and blindfolded, with food withheld for extended periods”

He said “Severe beatings that left me unconscious, torture to extract my iPhone passcode, enabling my abductors to access my private and professional accounts.” amid “Threats warning me against criticizing then-President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his wife, and his administration.”

Mr. Tetteh Hyde also alleged that his personal belonging including  “iPhone 12 Pro Max, MacBook Pro 2020, internet router, chargers, and critical documents” were all taken away from him and “none of which have been returned” since.

“Upon release, I was abandoned unconscious in a remote area, left to die. I spent weeks in the hospital, fighting for my life and struggling to recover physically and mentally from this brutal ordeal.” – Bongo said

“I later learned that my abductors forcibly accessed my Gmail and iCloud accounts, changing the credentials of my Twitter (X) account (@Bongoldeas), my primary platform for public engagement. These accounts remain inaccessible, severing my digital presence and professional resources.” while calling for full scale investigation into his ordeal.
