Black Sherif lands BET 2025 nomination

Black Sherif has secured a nomination for Best International Act at the 2025 BET Awards, bringing pride to Ghana’s music scene.

The “Kwaku the Traveller” hitmaker stands alongside global stars like Ayra Starr, Rema, Tyla, and Uncle Waffles. Other nominees include artists from Brazil, the UK, and France.

This year’s BET Awards airs live on June 9 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Comedian Kevin Hart will host the event.

The show marks a major milestone for BET. Kendrick Lamar leads with 10 nominations, including Album and Video of the Year.

The Best New International Act category also features names like Shallipopi (Nigeria), Abigail Chams (Tanzania), and Dlala Thukzin (South Africa).

This latest nod adds to Black Sherif’s growing legacy. From his TGMA Artist of the Year win to global acclaim, his rise from Konongo to the BET stage shows how far talent and determination can go.
