Ghanaian music star Black Sherif suffered a minor injury during a live performance at the Diaspora Dome, University of Ghana, on Friday, June 14, 2025.
The incident occurred while the artiste was thrilling a packed crowd with one of his hit songs. An overexcited fan, identified as Agbovi, broke through security and ran onto the stage. Although guards tried to stop him, Black Sherif allowed the fan to dance briefly.
However, things took a turn when Agbovi grabbed the artiste, causing Black Sherif to stumble and nearly fall into the crowd. Security quickly removed the fan from the stage.
Addressing the audience moments later, Black Sherif revealed he had been struck in the mouth, resulting in a cut lip. “Hey, Agbovi cut my lip,” he told fans before continuing his performance.
Despite the scare, the show went on smoothly. Sarkodie later joined Black Sherif on stage for a powerful joint performance that thrilled the audience.
This incident highlights the importance of tight security at high-energy concerts, where fan enthusiasm can easily cross safe boundaries.
