Ghana secured the title after winning two of the scheduled matches in the competition. The team first recorded a 4:0 victory over Hong Kong, China, before following it up with another strong performance, 4:0, to defeat Russia’s women’s national football team.
The final match against Tanzania was, however, cancelled due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, which affected arrangements for the fixture.
Despite the cancellation, the organizers of the Pink Ladies Cup confirmed Ghana as the champion based on their results in the competition.
In a brief ceremony, officials presented the tournament trophy to the Black Queens at the team’s hotel.
The victory will serve as a major boost for the team ahead of the pending WAFCON, which has been rescheduled for July, 2026.
