Bukum Banku says he will not campaign for the NDC again
Popular Ghanian boxer, Briamah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku says he will no longer get involved in issues of politics.
Speaking to Abdul-Iddrisu Faisel during a boxing event in Dzodze-Penyi in the Volta region, the boxer cum actor mentioned that he is a boxer with many followers and for him to remain a fan favourite, it is only proper he do away with politics.
“You know everybody love me in the nation, may be some people love me and some people jealous me because of politics. So if you want to be a popular man, you don’t have to do politics”.
Bukom Banku was a staunch supporter of former President, John Dramani Mahama. He was seen on several National Democratic Congress platforms canvassing for votes for the NDC during the 2016 electioneering.
Banku admonished amateur boxers to desist from alcoholism, womanizing but train hard to become boxing greats in the future.
He also used the opportunity to thank the CEO of Infinity Stars Hotel for taking the initiative in bringing such an event to the Ketu-North district for the first time.
